Description
The NEO-M9N module is based on the robust u-blox M9 GNSS chip, which provides exceptional sensitivity and acquisition times for all L1 GNSS systems. The u-blox M9 standard precision GNSS platform, offering meter-level accuracy, is the successor to the renowned u-blox M8 product line. The NEO-M9N supports simultaneous reception of four GNSS signals. The high number of visible satellites allows the receiver to select the best signals. This maximizes positioning accuracy, especially in challenging conditions such as deep urban canyons. The NEO-M9N detects jamming and spoofing events and reports them to the host, allowing the system to respond to such events. Advanced filtering algorithms mitigate the effects of RF interference and jamming, enabling the product to operate as intended. The NEO-M9N module integrates a SAW filter combined with an LNA in the RF path. This design enables normal operation even in the presence of strong RF interference, such as when a cellular modem is coupled to the NEO-M9N. The NEO-M9N offers backward pin-to-pin compatibility with previous u-blox generations, saving developers time and money when upgrading their designs. Software migration requires minimal effort thanks to continuous support for UBX messages across product generations.
